What are the prerequisites for Autonomous Discount Management?

To begin using Autonomous Discount Management, you must ensure that discount sharing is enabled. This is critical—if discount sharing is not enabled, Committed Use Discounts (CUDs) purchased in one project won't apply to usage in other projects.

How to Enable Discount Sharing

Follow these steps to enable discount sharing across your projects:

1. Navigate to the Committed Use Discount Analysis page.

2. In the Commitment Type dropdown menu, choose Resource-based commitments.

3. At the top of the page, just under the header, you'll see "Commitment Scope:"

If the Commitment Scope is set to Billing, no further action is needed.

If the Commitment Scope is set to Project, click the EDIT button next to Commitment Scope.

4. Enable Billing Account Scope
