What does ProsperOps do?

ProsperOps is an automated optimization service that manages AWS Savings Plans and Reserved Instances. The service monitors real-time usage of the Customer’s resources and automatically adjusts AWS discount instruments to maximize savings outcomes while minimizing incremental term commitment (i.e. lock-in and risk).

  • ProsperOps inherits, monitors, and manages commitments (i.e., Savings Plans and Reserved Instances) previously purchased by the Customer. For the purposes of pricing, these commitments are known as Base Commitments. Based on settings defined by the Customer, ProsperOps may purchase incremental Compute Savings Plan commitments in the Base commitment layer.
  • ProsperOps deploys a layer of flexible and short-term RIs. For the purposes of pricing, these commitments are known as Flex Commitments.
