Where Do I Find the Required GCP Details?

To successfully validate ProsperOps service account permissions, we first require the four Google Cloud IDs listed below:

  • Billing account ID
  • Detailed usage cost dataset ID
  • Pricing dataset ID
  • Organization ID

Navigate to the Google Cloud Console in a browser profile where you are authenticated with your corporate Google credentials (not your personal Gmail).

Note: To streamline the onboarding process, it's essential that the Detailed Usage Cost and Pricing tables are active within BigQuery. If you're uncertain about their status,  please refer to this help article for detailed instructions.

1. How to find your Billing account ID

Enter "Account Management" in the Google Cloud Console search bar as shown below and navigate to the Account Management page. If you have more than one Billing account, you will be prompted to select a Billing Account. Choose the one you intend to configure for ProsperOps.

Once on the Account Management page, the Billing account ID is an 18-character alpha-numeric value displayed on the top left of the page, e.g. 010101-F0F0F0-101101.

2. How to find the Detailed usage cost dataset ID

Enter "Billing Export" in the Google Cloud Console search bar as shown below and navigate to the Billing Export page. If you have more than one Billing account, you will be prompted to select a Billing Account. Choose the one you intend to configure for ProsperOps.

Click the 'Dataset name' for the Detailed usage cost export to view details.

Hover over the 'Dataset ID' to see the copy icon. Click the copy icon to copy and then paste this ID into the ProsperOps Console.

3. How to find the Pricing dataset ID

Enter "Billing Export" in the Google Cloud Console search bar as shown below and navigate to the Billing Export page. If you have more than one Billing account, you will be prompted to select a Billing Account. Choose the one you intend to configure for ProsperOps.

Click the 'Dataset name' for the Pricing export to view details.

Hover over the 'Dataset ID' to see the copy icon. Click the copy icon to copy and then paste this ID into the ProsperOps Console.

4. How to find the Organization ID

Click on the "Google Cloud" icon in the top left to navigate back to the Welcome dashboard and click on the Resource selector as shown below.

Copy the Organization ID from the ‘ID’ column corresponding to the Organization that holds the relevant Billing account.

What are the next steps?

Now, you're ready to advance to the next step of the onboarding process. This will involve creating a custom role and granting view-only permissions to the ProsperOps service account. If you've added all four IDs to the console, click Next and advance to the Initial GCP Access section. For further instruction on providing Initial GCP Access, please see this help article.
